Kick some pasta-munching meatball butt tonight!

Overcome the curse of 22 June!

“La seleccion” have suffered three painful penalty shootout defeats in quarter-finals at major tournaments in matches played on June 22.

They lost to Belgium on spot kicks in the last eight of the Mexico World Cup in 1986 after a late Juan Senor goal earned them a 1-1 draw in Puebla on June 22.

A decade later they were beaten on penalties by England after a 0-0 draw at Wembley in Euro 96, Fernando Hierro and Miguel Angel Nadal missing from the spot.

They then lost to co-hosts South Korea on penalties after another goalless draw in the 2002 World Cup quarter-finals.

SPAIN! SPAIN! SPAIN! SPAIN!

FC Barcelona won today against SSD Nettuno (from Italy) at the baseball Eurocup 2008 in Regensburg.

Maybe the same thing will happen in soccer, too.

hey dude, watching the game right now… could you email me about some features on your blog, namely the country counter thing you have? I’d really appreciate it, thanks!

thank god (if he exists) for kicking out those dumb noodle-eaters. i’d rather kill them and fertilize the rice fields in China with their remains (like in that song).

¡Es-pa-ña!!! ¡Es-pa-ña!!!

Spain has finally overcome the curse of the quarter finals too!

More to come, tomorrow…

Just watched them beating Turkey (close though) and with hope they will go to the end…ciao

Tonight’s the night! Spain’s going to kick Bratwurst butt!
