A Student Laugh

that it was better I didn’t laugh at (despite how much I wanted to).

While drilling low level students on shapes, I held up a rectangle.

J: ‘Student Sn, what shape is this?’
Student Sn: ‘Rectal’.

I was barely able to contain my laughter before saying, ‘The word is ‘rectangle’.’ Had I not been able to contain it, I would have had to explain the meaning of the word he had said - a conversation I didn’t want to have with a group of 16-year-olds.

Hahaha!! Great one!!

You missed a great opportunity! Those students would have had at least 2 English words indelibly etched into their brains.

Nice!

Keeping a straight face is hard, and I have to say that ultimately I am with vailian: you missed a nice opportunity.

Steff, I knew you’d get a kick out of it.

Vail and Adam, apparently you two have different teaching philosophies for adolescents than I do.

haha! That’s a good one!

*snort*
